This showed up in my suggestions today, and I am very glad it did. Your story made me think back to my days in Vietnam, where everyone tried to do their job in the safest way possible -- and, contrary to the Mass Media -- really cared about protecting the Vietnamese people.

I'm a gray haired, old white dude who learned in the military and through religion that "all men/women are created equal". I served with many like you and loved them dearly. I would be perfectly content to be able to walk, not in your shoes, but along side you as a partner.
