The Apostle Peter declared that the Spirit of God would be given to all who believe. He also declared that the Spirit would manifest Himself through prophesy, visions, and dreams.

(Acts 2:17–18) “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. [18] And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.”

Jesus talked about God’s gift of the Spirit in many places. He let us know that we need not be afraid to ask for the Holy Spirit to come, and to trust the Father to send only the Holy Spirit.

(Luke 11:13) “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Jesus promises that the Spirit will be with as a Helper, a comforter, an aid on our journeys.

(John 14:16–17) “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; [17] the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells…
